The new pedal board

I’m serious. Buying this pedal board (Pedaltrain PT2 w/ hardcase) and the accompanying power supply (BBE Supa Charger) only makes it more of an issue. Mainly, I am tired of buying batteries—more to the point, I’m tired of changing batteries. That Foxx Foot Phaser that I love so dearly was a four-screw job, and I stripped two of them with my constant changing out of 9volts. While I’m thinking about it, finding a ‘9-volts DC, negative center, barrell connector’ [sic] was nearly impossible. Well, maybe not. I settled the matter with a BBE 9volt battery snap clip power cable that’s snaking into the innards of the Foxx. (I’m still awaiting a response from the fine folks at Foxx regarding the matter, but it’ll just be icing on a rather heavy cake).

I’ve been trying to figure out the best ways to set up my board, and I tried a few resources, including a couple of professional music store personnel. It turns out, I had my setup mostly right, which is right enough for me. As of last night (March 30, 2011), my ‘rig’ (ha!) works like this:

Boss TU-3 (tuner) > Electro-Harmonix Nano Double Muff (glad I bought the Nano and not the Big) > Electro-Harmonix Stereo Pulsar (tremolo) > Morley PDW-II (Distortion Wah Volume pedal) > Foxx Foot Phaser (and sorta univibe) > Boss RE-20 Space Echo (which gets cooler every time I play it) > Boss RC2 Loop Station (because I like to stack noises some nights) > Fender Blues Jr NOS 15W amp

Now I sound like I know what I’m talking about, so it’s time to upload more songs to give sonic evidence that I’m well-acquainted in pressing those pedals. Coming soon, gang. I have work to do. And drill holes to supervise. And buy some more tiny patch cables. And...
